Honoring Jesus with our lives means living in a way that reflects His love, truth, and holiness. It involves surrendering to Him, obeying His commands, and seeking to glorify Him in all that you do.

We can honor Jesus in all that we do. The Bible teaches that every aspect of our lives should be lived for His glory. (Colossians 3:17) says: “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Honor Jesus in Your Work and Responsibilities

Whether you are a student, employee, or stay-at-home parent, you can honor Jesus by working with integrity and diligence. (Colossians 3:23) reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” When you work with excellence and honesty, you reflect Christ’s character.

Honor Jesus in Your Relationships

Loving others as Jesus loves is a way to honor Him. Jesus said: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34). This includes treating family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers with kindness, patience, and forgiveness.

Jesus said that love for Him is demonstrated through obedience: “If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15). Obedience to God is not about legalism but about a heart that desires to please Him.
